Well since my school district decided to have us get out on the 22nd this year the 23rd was a very busy day for me. As you can imagine, trying to get a lot done with a two-year-old isn't always the easiest task, but I have to admit the day went really well.
Landon was up bright and early at 5:40am so we were more than ready to hit the road at 7:50. We decided that we would go visit Maw Maw at her job because they have a giant Christmas tree that they decorate every year and we thought Landon would love it.... her job also has escalators, so either way it would be a hit!
We didn't end up arriving until about 8:40 (its only about about a 10 minute drive) because me and my preggo brain forgot my wallet at home. :)
Landon loved the tree (and the escalators)! We visited a few of my mom's friends at work. As anticipated Landon hid in between my legs or under my mom's desk until he warmed up to everyone and was given a ball to throw up and down the hallways of the cubicles.... then he was full out Landon!
Can you find him?

Landon and his Maw Maw
After that we headed to the mall where Maw Maw and Landon rode the Choo Choo and we visited Santa. Maw Maw said that Landon waved at every person in the mall and wanted everyone to see him in the train. He asked Santa once again for a Boom Boom (gun for hunting). The Santa looked at me like I was the world's worst mom because my 2 year old knows what a gun is.... however, Santa doesn't know the family he comes from! He did promise Landon a Boom Boom as long as he went to bed early on Christmas Eve and was good for Mommy and Daddy....so it looks like Landon might get some coal instead! ;)

Riding the Choo Choo!

I did get a few things done and Nick ended up getting off early so the afternoon was a bit more productive! I had a great day making some wonderful memories with my Mom and Son. I am trying very hard to slow down and enjoy moments like these because I am starting realize that life moves way too fast. Landon will be in high school before I know it and the exciting things in life (escalators, mall choo choos, and Santas) won't always be exciting.
I hope everyone has a blessed holiday. Merry Christmas to you and your family! Enjoy every second of your celebrations!
Love,
The Feit Family
